Think of getting a Power Pleasure Craft Driving License(PPCDL)?
Ahoy there!
Have you ever dreamed of driving your own boat? How about being a skipper? or even a Captain?
Then you might be interested in this PPCDL course. This course allows you to drive any power-driven boat that has a license plate beginning with SZ or SZH, which most of the small and medium sized boats require.
So in order to drive your own boat or yacht, set aside $500 max(unless you fail the tests many times). The course will cost you about $350. Theory is $20 and Practical is $50(excluding GST). Here's a link for you to get detailed information for the course application.
Here's another link for the general information of this course.

Hi sailingsg,
The cheapest club offering this course? Price rates change for each club time after time so you gotta do your own research. But i recommend you to take it at SAFYC even though it's public price rate.
The medical test is just an eye screening test. Simple! Doc will ask you to read the Alphabets from a distance..

Am deciding to take the ppcdl too.
Done my research, realise that different clubs have different numbers of hours teach.
SAFYC only teach for 2 days?? 1 for theory and 1 for Practical?? And Charge @ $300
Whereas the rest like RSTC, Raffles and Changi
3 days theory and 1 day practical @ $310 - $320
Raffles even mention on the web they have the most comprehensive sets of notes!!!
Any comments on these?

The longer the better if they have a good curriculum. Don't forget to ask questions, as many as you can think of!!!
Good luck and let us know how it went!
Cheers
