Your Account and Profile
- How do I register?
You can register by clicking on the "Join now" link in the top right corner of the webpage and completing the registration form.
- Can I participate without registering? Why should I register?
Registration is not required in order to read the content of the website and forums. Registering allows you to build up a profile, submit a profile picture, share interesting bookmarks, pics and videos you or other users found on the net, have friends list - just cool things that make your forum experience more personal and fun.
- Is the website free to use? Is registration free?
Everything on this website and forum is free to use. Registration is also free. Registration is also safe - we will not disclose any individual information to anyone without your permission.
- How do I ... ?
Create bookmarks:
This function allows users to save and share links (bookmarks, URLs). If you found an interesting link share it with the rest of the comunity.- Go to "My account" -> "Add a bookmark". Fill the address, title, description and don't forget the bookmark tags - very important to categorise stuff.
- I forgot my password. How do I retrieve it?
Go here and enter your username or e-mail address. Your password will be sent to the email address you indicated when you created your account.
- How do I change my password?
You must be logged in to change your password. After you are logged in, click on "My account" -> "Edit Account".
- Who can see my profile?
Your profile is public, everybody can see it.
- How do I customize my user icon (avatar)?
You must be logged in to customize your user icon. Click on "My account" at the top right of the page. Then click on the "Edit Account" link. This will take you to the Account Settings page.
Scroll down to "Picture" and click the browse button to select the desired icon from your computer. The avatar should be at least 250 pixels wide by 250 pixels high. The file should be no larger than 500 kilobytes.
After you have selected your file, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Submit to upload the file and update your settings.- How do I update my profile bio information?
You must be logged in to customize your profile. Click on "My account" at the top right of the page. Next click on "Edit Profile". You can edit your bio information on this page. Click Submit to update your settings.
- Where's the newsletter?
"My account" -> "Edit Subscription". If the checkbox is selected you're subscribed to the newsletter.
- What else is there?
In the "Edit account" section you can also customise these settings:
User guestbook - on, off, notifications
Private message settings - allow, e-mail notifications
Signature
Contact
Buddylist settings
Time and date- I forgot my password. How do I retrieve it?
